It has been more than eight months since Je’Von Evans joined the RAW brand.
During the first Raw show of the year 2026 in Brooklyn, Adam Pearce introduced the Young OG to the crowd, before signing him live on Netflix. The WWE universe was eager to see him rise to the top after nearly two years spent in NXT. But was he really ready? In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Je’Von says he didn’t feel ready in January, as he puts it.
He states :
“No, no, not at all. Because I wanted to learn more at NXT. Of course I wanted to beat Oba for the title, but I wanted to learn how to carry a company on NXT. I wanted to be ‘the guy’. But that will happen, that’s it. I’ll work to reach it. I know that one day I’ll be ‘the guy’ at WWE.”
“So I feel that if I had learned to carry a roster, to worry about audiences, about ticket sales and all that… I would know better how to go about things and what to do.”
Has Je’Von Evans arrived too early on the main roster? Indeed, the Greensboro native has never won a belt on the Raw show, but his rivalries have left a mark on Orlando’s fans and impressed the officials as well. This year, Je’Von Evans has been racking up victories with 18 wins on television shows: the creatives seem to trust him, and his future is surely brighter than he realizes.
