It’s official—the AAA’s new wrestler is named El Carnicero (a name that translates roughly to “the butcher”). He is the person who attacked Psycho Clown and their faction recently in AAA, but his identity had remained hidden.
During Lucha Libre on August 22, AAA confirmed his name while announcing that he will make his first match at AAA Ola De Calor on August 30, 2026. His opponent is still to be determined, but one can imagine he will face a wrestler from the opposing clan.
But who is hiding behind the mask?
That is the big question—the masked wrestler’s true identity. Observant fans will have noticed that he bears the same chest tattoo as a wrestler from NXT.
Indeed, the person is Drake Morreaux from NXT who has completely reinvented his character and identity for this new role in AAA. You may have also seen him on the side of Evolve or WWE LFG. There will be no storyline connection between the two, as they are two separate characters.
