Tony Khan confirmed in an interview that he would have agreed to sending Edge / Adam Copeland to WWE for one last match against John Cena as part of his farewell tour.
Indeed, a few weeks ago Adam Copeland stated in an interview that if WWE had contacted him to face Cena, Tony Khan would certainly have accepted the offer. In an interview with Metro UK this week, the AEW boss confirmed that he was open to collaborations and that he remains so.
His full statement :
&13;
”I was never asked, and to my knowledge Adam hasn’t been approached either, so it’s hard to say. But whenever there have been opportunities to collaborate, I’ve always been willing to do so in the past. No one ever asked us for anything, but if a plan had been presented to me, with dates and information about what was planned, yes, I would have supported it. But no one ever asked us, neither me nor Adam.”

A statement that once again confirms that Tony Khan never received a call from WWE to stage this Edge vs John Cena match that many fans had dreamed of.
The two wrestlers still managed a remote nod to one another, each delivering the finishing move of his rival within his own promotion.
