Tensions are rising between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton!
Still carrying himself with the same poise, Cody Rhodes made his entrance in Ottawa during SmackDown on August 28, 2026. But what would he address? Randy Orton, of course. The American Nightmare vows to take down the Legend Killer, and he repeats it. Cody believes that Orton has squandered numerous opportunities to become the WWE Champion for the 15th time. And at Sunday Night’s Main Event, the Viper will fall.
Randy Orton’s entrance music thundered through the Canadian arena as the veteran stepped through the curtain, his eyes locked on his rival. Orton grabbed the mic to respond to his former partner from The Legacy. Randy taunted Cody in an attempt to push him over the edge. As a reminder, if either wrestler strikes first before September 6, he will no longer have a chance at the world title.
Randy Orton is digging into Cody Rhodes’s head, insulting his entire family. But the Atlanta native did not yield and turned the momentum around, degrading Randy’s father, Bob Orton. Proud of his move, Cody left the ring while an enraged Orton stood mere inches from delivering a blow… In a little more than a week, the two men will show no mercy…
