Baron Corbin’s reign wouldn’t last long.
Trick Williams had lost the United States Championship belt to Baron Corbin at SummerSlam 2026, on Sunday, August 2. But he hadn’t lost the desire to reclaim his title. During August, Corbin thus proposed the following idea: if Lil Yachty could survive five minutes against the champion, Trick Williams would earn a title match that same night.
That is done: during Sunday Night’s Main Event, the rapper earned a title match for his partner after a groin strike to Baron Corbin… before going through a table with a Chokeslam. Trick Williams then arrived for his title match, which he won against Baron Corbin.
Trick Williams thus becomes the new United States Champion and tonight begins his second reign with the belt.
