WWE NXT Summary for September 8, 2026

– Tonight, it’s WWE NXT, the yellow-brand show opens with the commentators welcoming us as we see the superstars arriving at the arena.
– Backstage, Jaida Parker informs Thea Hail that she must compete in this match alone tonight.
NXT Women’s Championship – Singles Match
Jaida Parker vs Kelani Jordan (c)
At the end of the match, Jordan goes for her corner 450 Splash, but Parker escapes and hits a Samoan Drop. Parker drives Jordan into the corner and hits a Seated Splash. Parker charges for her Hip Attack, but Jordan dodges and she slams into the corner. Jordan follows up with her Split Legged Moonsault for the three-count.
Winner : Kelani Jordan
– After the bout, Wren Sinclair storms to the ring to pummel the champion during the celebration! The referee tries to stop her, but Sinclair shoves the referee to the canvas! Sinclair delivers Kendo Stick shots to Jordan, but more officials rush in to stop her.
– Backstage, Robert Stone is filming a video, but Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno arrive. Dar says they had a big victory just as Stone wanted. But Stone has to do something about the Creed Brothers. Stone says he brought back the Creed Brothers because they are former Dusty Cup winners, not to ambush them in the back; he’s sorry. Dar says he understands why Stone brought back the Creed Brothers, but they need this match. Stone confirms the match.
– In a car video, Myles Borne says he isn’t sure if he made a misstep, but he didn’t want to be fooled. And after he hears in an interview that Tavion Heights didn’t want to betray him. He obviously misread things and perhaps he owes Heights an apology. He truly believes Heights can become champion and tonight is his night. Unfortunately he won’t be able to be here.
– Backstage, Tavion Heights chats with Hank and Tank about Myles Borne’s reaction. Heights says he has a North American title to win, so that will have to wait.
Tag Team Match
Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno vs Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed)
At the end of the match, Brutus shoves Dar into the ringside barricade. In the ring, Julius avoids a move with a Clothesline. The Creed Brothers hit a double Powerbomb on Moreno for the three-count.
Winners: Creed Brothers
– Backstage, Birthright discusses Zilla Fatu. Charlie Dempsey says he’s had enough of the disrespect. William Regal and Fit Finlay arrive. Regal says it’s time for Dempsey to make his mark in NXT to get what he wants. Finlay says they took the title from King, so what will it take? King says he’ll settle this matter. Regal notes he had a great history with Fatu’s father, Umaga. This is far from finished; Dempsey must organize this match.
– Backstage, Robert Stone asks Wren Sinclair why she acted that way. Sinclair says that if Kendal Grey isn’t here to defend, she’ll do it for them both. Stone says that cannot happen, he has no choice but to suspend her!
– Charlie Dempsey is in the ring. Dempsey says he’s kept quiet since his debut and he has realized the longer it goes the less appreciated he is. People think he isn’t the most entertaining with his words and his leaps. But he’s more the action type than talk. Yet he has remained himself at least. When he got the offer to form Birthright, he didn’t refuse. It was the opportunity to show what the business should be and to show everyone who he is. And that is to be the best technician in this company. And instead, they’re treated like clowns every week. And their credibility took another hit last week and that’s it! He won’t wait for NXT to take him seriously; he will force himself into being taken seriously. He’ll push NXT to hand this company to those who care about turning football players into something they don’t want. Transform the company toward the wrestlers. Those who think they deserve it, this is the moment to come and take it. No one backstage can rival them, especially Zilla Fatu.
Dempsey says he really believed that if Fatu joined Birthright, he would be on the path to glory. They would need to start from scratch. They know what it’s like to be in the shadow of his father. So he invites Zilla Fatu to come to the ring to accept the offer. The theme of Zilla Fatu hits and he arrives. Fatu says Dempsey is right; because of his father he must perform. But he knows he can take this chance and climb the ladder. He appreciates the invitation, but he won’t get lost with Birthright. He’s not just another son, but THE son. His answer remains no. The rest of Birthright climbs into the ring to attack Zilla Fatu! They powerbomb Fatu through the announcers’ table!
– In a video, Naraku says Shiloh Hill doesn’t understand; questioning the Green Mist will bring him down. Hill has felt the Green Mist and the Red Mist. Hill must stop or else he’ll feel all the colors and all the different pains.
– Backstage, Saquon Shugars hatches the plan for Tony D’Angelo and Mason Rook for tonight. D’Angelo says Shugars just needs to stay out of the way because he still bears clan scars on his body. And Rook attacked him first. So they simply need to stay out of his path. Rook says they all share the same goal tonight. Tristan Angels arrives and says the weak link wants to play the reconciliation card, but Rook doesn’t even deserve a spot. Shugars says King lost to Zilla Fatu. King says at least he had the guts to face him.
NXT North American Championship – Singles Match
Tavion Heights vs Jackson Drake (c) accompanied by Vanity Project
At the end of the match, Heights drives Drake to the mat to target his ankle, but Drake surprises him with a Running Knee. Drake follows up with his 450 Splash for the three-count on Heights.
Winner : Jackson Drake
– After the match, Vanity Project celebrates the victory and exits. Tavion Heights notices Myles Borne entering from the crowd. Heights decides to leave without waiting for him.
– Backstage, EK Prosper, Keanu Carver and Cruz Montana prep for their match. Montana says Prosper and Carver have had issues in the past, but they all want this title. So tonight they must team up to secure the challenger’s bout.
– The new North American Champion arrives to the ring and takes the mic. Zaria says that for a long time there was always someone or something in her way to becoming champion. And that included her best friend who held her hostage. Just look at what she’s done over the past months. She has crushed our favorites one after another. She’s finally become the one with two titles atop her head. The Speed Championship is on the belt where it belongs, and she will be the most dominant champion NXT has ever seen. Izzi Dame comes out on the podium. Izzi Dame says that Zaria won a Triple Threat and thinks she is the most dominant? It doesn’t work that way. She doesn’t buy this Zaria facade. Zaria has exactly become what she hated.
Zaria tells Dame to come say that to her in the ring. Dame says Zaria is dodging the truth once again. She will show who the real Zaria is. Thea Hail appears on the scene. Hail says everyone agrees that no one cares about Dame. Jaida Parker told her to go after what she wanted, so she wants to reclaim this title. Dame says the two of them can settle this, she only cares about the woman who is champion. Hail says it doesn’t matter who the champion is, she just wants to prove it wasn’t a fluke the first time. Zaria says Hail will never be a champion because she relies on someone else as usual. Hail says Zaria is jealous to know that she has a friend. Zaria says Hail should learn that this is never true. Hail says she will learn when Zaria stops worrying about Sol Ruca.
Zaria attempts to strike, but Hail evades and applies a Kimura Lock to force her to submit!
– Backstage, Hank and Tank stop Myles Borne. Hank says Borne must apologize; that’s the only thing to do. And he must do it in person, not on social media. Borne asks where Heights is to do it. Hank says Heights has already left. Borne says he’ll do it next week.
– Backstage, Birthright celebrates their attack on Zilla Fatu. Fit Finlay says violence is always the best solution. Vanity Project arrives. Jackson Drake says Regal should be proud of defending his title. Regal warns Drake not to get too comfortable because Birthright is on the hunt! Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy arrive to demand a tag team title match against Vanity Project. Creed Brothers demand the same. Darkstate demand the same as well.
– Backstage, Kali Armstrong says Thea Hail wants to jump to the front for the North American title because her best friend told her so? Hail isn’t even capable of thinking. She does everything solo. Lizzy Rain arrives and says that if Armstrong deserves it that much she could just steal her opportunity like she did before. The officials separate the two who argue.
– Grayson Waller takes a seat with the commentators for the main event.
Six-Man Tag Team Match
The winning team earns a shot at becoming the NXT title contender.
Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars and Tony D’Angelo vs EK Prosper, Keanu Carver and Cruz Montana
At the end of the match, Carver and Montana hit a Double Superplex on Rook. Prosper follows with a Frog Splash for the cover, but he’s got a two-count. Carver tags in, but Rook shoves him into the corner and he crashes onto Montana. Prosper takes the tag, D’Angelo tags in from the other side. D’Angelo attacks Prosper and hits a PowerSlam for the cover, but Carver breaks the count. Montana goes for a Clothesline, but D’Angelo dodges and Montana clotheslines Carver by mistake. Shugars springboards onto Montana and Carver at ringside. In the ring, D’Angelo dodges Prosper’s leap and hits him with a Spear. D’Angelo follows with a ChokeSlam, but Rook makes the blind tag! Rook lifts D’Angelo onto his shoulders and nails a Cannonball onto Prosper for the three-count.
Winners: Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars and Tony D’Angelo
– After the bout, Montana and Carver continue trading blows at ringside.
The show ends with Waller standing before Rook, Shugars and D’Angelo.
