AEW has already confirmed the start date for the 2026 Continental Classic tournament.
Indeed, the date fans have circled in their calendars for AEW is the Dynamite show on November 18, 2026. The company has opened ticket sales for the show and used the opportunity to announce that this will mark the beginning of the tournament.

The Continental Classic Concept
The Continental Classic is a tournament where wrestlers accumulate points. Two blocks of wrestlers compete against each other, and those with the highest point totals can reach the final.
Thus, a defeat does not mean elimination, but merely zero points on the scoreboard. The grand winner is crowned the new Continental Champion as well as the tournament winner.
The current champion is Jon Moxley; he recently managed to retain his title in the last tournament leading up to All In 2026. Will he be able to do the same for this new tournament?
