– Tonight, it’s WWE NXT, the yellow brand show opens with the commentators welcoming us.
Singles Match
Lizzy Rain vs Kali Armstrong
At the end of the match, Rain goes for her Running Headbutt, but Armstrong blocks it with a Powerbomb. Armstrong charges for her Kali Connection, but Rain counters with a Headbutt! Rain goes for her finisher, but Armstrong avoids it and hits her Kali Connection for the three-count.
Winner: Kali Armstrong
– After the bout, Armstrong celebrates her victory, but Skylar Raye rushes in to attack.
– Backstage, Sean Legacy asks Dorian Van Dux if he has heard rumors about Robert Stone’s announcement for the tag division. Van Dux says he hasn’t heard anything. It isn’t a distraction; they must stay focused on Darkstate. Birthright arrives. They inform Van Dux and Legacy that the tag titles are their priority. Van Dux and Legacy would do well to stay out of their way to avoid ending up like Zilla Fatu. Legacy says they want the titles as well. Van Dux adds that they aren’t afraid to face them.
– Backstage, Cruz Montana discusses with Robert Stone. Montana says he missed his chance at the title in an instant. EK Prosper says he’s disappointed in the loss as well; it’s his fault. Montana says Prosper is the future, it isn’t entirely his fault and he takes responsibility. Vanity Project arrives to ask Stone what the rumor is about the tag titles. Stone says that at Heatwave he warned that the division would rise. Vanity Project asks if Montana and Prosper will seek another title opportunity. Montana says the strength of the group is Myka Lockwood. He had titles around the world before they were born. Montana says he wants a match against these clowns tonight. Stone confirms the match.
Tag Team Match
Darkstate (Osiris Griffin and Cutler James) vs Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy
At the end of the match, Van Dux and Legacy dive to the outside onto Darkstate. Legacy is hurt, the referee attends to him. Dion Lennox arrives from the other side to strike Van Dux! James and Griffin hit a double Powerbomb on Van Dux for the three-count.
Winners: Darkstate
– After the champions celebrate, Birthright comes down to the ring. Uriah Connors says it was about time everyone paid attention to Birthright. Zilla Fatu was the focus before he got crushed. Stacks says he hopes the whole division watched their warning. Charlie Dempsey says they will continue until they get the attention they deserve.
Birthright decides to attack Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy to send their message, but the music hits for Zilla Fatu. Fatu rushes to the ring and he manages to drive Birthright out of the ring with the help of Legacy and Van Dux.
– Backstage, Robert Stone asks Skylar Raye why she did that. Skylar Raye says she was waiting for her chance in Evolve, but nothing happened, so she wants to seize it. Myles Borne arrives and says he’ll head to the ring to apologize to Tavion Heights. Will he have all the time he wants? Stone approves.
– Backstage, the doctor tells Zaria she has the green light, but she must proceed carefully. Izzi Dame arrives and asks how it’s possible that the strongest got hurt by Thea Hail? Dame asks if people are born weak or if they are struck by weakness.
– Myles Borne is in the ring. Borne says he has a lot to say and would like to do it in person in front of Tavion Heights. Heights arrives to the ring. Borne thanks him for coming; he didn’t know if he would. Heights says they’ve been through a lot. We know brothers fight, but Borne crossed the line at Heatwave. Borne says he had just lost the North American title and the tag titles; he had lost his mind. He saw how Heights looked at him after the loss and didn’t want to end up as the victim. He acted out of fear. He isn’t proud of what he did; he’s truly sorry. Heights says he appreciates the apology, but his back still hurts from the betrayal. Should he really forget everything because Borne said he’s sorry? He’s lost his first title at NXT and didn’t have his best friend to lean on. It’s not something he can forgive easily.
Borne says he understands; after Great American Bash he found himself in the same position. Heights says it was different: Borne attacked him. Borne says Heights forced him to defend his title and then said he was a bad brother. He decided to forgive Heights and to find him again. Together they had won the tag titles; they could conquer the world. They know that together no one can stop them. He isn’t proud of what he did. He just asks that Heights forgive him so they can move on. Heights says maybe he didn’t realize the position he put Borne in. They must learn to balance their friendship. He loves Heights like a brother, he’s sorry. Heights says he forgives Borne. It’s them against the whole world again. Borne is his brother for life. Borne and Heights share a hug! But… Borne hits him with his Born Again! Borne pushes him to the ring apron and sends him through the LED barricade. Borne places a chair on Heights’ ankle and dives onto it.
– We find Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair with the doctor. Kendal Grey listens to the doctor for an update on her health. The doctor says she has no concussion, but the overwhelming emotions are contributing to her dizziness. Grey says she would like a timeline for when she can resume training. The doctor says Grey needs rest to return. Grey has taken her time off to come back to the ring and has made things more complicated. So Grey will need a sports psychologist to improve her condition.
Tag Team Match – Non-Title
EK Prosper and Cruz Montana vs Ricky Smoke and Brad Baylor accompanied by Myka Lockwood
At the end of the match, Jackson Drake enters to deliver a Running Kick to Montana while the referee is turned away; the referee nonetheless ejects him. In the ring, Smoke avoids a charge from Prosper into the corner and quickly pins him for the three-count while Baylor prevents Prosper from escaping the count by blocking his legs.
Winners: Ricky Smoke and Brad Baylor
– Backstage, Saquon Shugars gives his thoughts before the main event. Shugars says he’s next to become the challenger. Tristan Angels arrives and says Shugars isn’t even capable of dressing like a champion. He has what it takes to be champion while Shugars lacks the class to do it. Shugars tells Angels to go home and watch his own match to see how he can become champion.
– NXT Champion Kelani Jordan comes to the ring. Jordan says she’s raised the bar as champion. She doesn’t want to be a champion who sits on Instagram; that’s why she defended her title a week after winning it and she defeated Jaida Parker in a successful bout. She gestures as she speaks. While she celebrated, Wren Sinclair wanted her moment. Sinclair was suspended, and during that time she made her debut on RAW Mexico. So she asks who’s next? Nobody is stepping up for her title because of fear of facing her. The title will stay on her shoulder. La Catalina’s AAA theme hits and she arrives to the ring. La Catalina says Jordan isn’t the only one at the top of her division. At TripleMania she won the AAA Championship, and now she wants to elevate lucha libre to the next level.
Zaria enters the ring and says that if we’re talking about dominance, she’s the one who should be mentioned. She has unified two titles. Catalina asks what happened with Thea Hail. Zaria says it was a fluke. People came with Izzi Dame, always someone interrupting her moment. Thea Hail arrives and says it’s time to see people talk about her. The truth is she can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the ring, and everyone knows it. Fans have watched her grow and know it. She has proven she can become a champion by making Zaria tap, and now she just has to do it in a match to become the two-time North American Champion. The brawl erupts on the ring. Hail and Catalina manage to force Zaria and Jordan from the ring!
– In a video package, Tony D’Angelo previews his opponents for tonight.
– In a video, Shiloh Hill says that in response to Naraku’s threats he decided to design a mask to counter the Green Mist. He updates on his research and studies into paintings.
– Backstage, Robert Stone says that at Heatwave he aimed to elevate the tag division. He did so with the return of the Creed Brothers, and the other teams have stepped up. Thus the Dusty Rhodes Classic will return with 14 teams. The teams will be announced on social media this week and the matches will start next week. The Creed Brothers arrive, declaring it’s great and they will win the tournament as in 2022. They want to know their opponents. Stone says they’ll have to wait for the reveal. Julius Creed says it doesn’t matter; they will be the only two-time Dusty Rhodes Classic champions.
NX T Title Contender – Triple Threat Match
Saquon Shugars vs Tony D’Angelo vs Mason Rook
At the end, D’Angelo and Rook exchange blows. D’Angelo shoves Rook to the floor and the two tumble. D’Angelo attempts his finisher on Rook, but Shugars springs onto both. Shugars brings D’Angelo back into the ring and climbs to the corner, but Rook pushes him off! Rook hits a Cannonball on D’Angelo, but Shugars lands a Tornado DDT on him. Shugars climbs the corner for a Frog Splash and covers, but Tristan Angels drags the referee out from the ring to stop the count! Shugars hits a Cross Body onto Angels on the floor as the two exchange blows. In the ring, D’Angelo can’t hit his finisher on Rook. Rook hits a Blue Thunder Bomb on D’Angelo and climbs the corner for his Splash for the three-count.
Winner: Mason Rook
– After the bout, Grayson Waller’s music hits and he arrives for a face-to-face. The show ends there.
