Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – First Round
Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno vs Los Americanos (Rayo and Bravo Americano)
Near the end, Rayo goes up for a double-team, but Dar pushes him off the corner. Moreno finds Bravo on the corner and delivers a slam. Dar makes the tag. Dar and Moreno execute a Leg Sweep and a Rolling Elbow on Bravo for the three-count.
Winners: Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno
– We see Kendal Grey returning for a session with her psychologist. Grey explains she’s been dealing with dizziness, but she’s feeling okay overall. The psychologist asks how she’s feeling. Grey says losing the title was hard, and not having medical clearance to compete makes it even tougher. It’s harder to not be able to fight for what she lost. Grey admits she feels lost and doesn’t know how to move forward. The psychologist asks if she’s ever faced a similar situation before. Grey recalls a moment during her studies when she was sidelined by an injury. This time, she can’t afford to be injured. Grey had hoped for clearance for the next season, but this time no one knows if she’ll return in a matter of weeks or months. What will happen if she can’t return as she was? The psychologist asks who Kendal Grey is if she can’t compete. Grey has no answer.
Singles Match
Kali Armstrong vs Skylar Raye
At the end, Raye dives from the corner, but Armstrong catches her and delivers a PowerSlam! Armstrong then follows with her Kali Connection, but Raye evades it and crashes into the referee! Reina Volcan runs to the ring to strike Raye and deliver a Powerbomb to Armstrong! She finishes with a Torture Rack on Raye, sending her down onto Armstrong. The referee rises and counts to three.
Winner: Skylar Raye
– Backstage, Robert Stone talks with Shiloh Hill and Saquon Shugars about his Green Mist studies. Stone notes that discussing blinding someone in front of the GM is a bad idea. He knows Shugars wants Tristan Angels and Hill wants Naraku. They’ll revisit the matter next week to confirm the matchups.
Tag Team Match
Thea Hail and La Catalina vs Zaria and Kelani Jordan
At the end, Catalina lands a Hip Attack on Jordan and Zaria against the turnbuckle. Zaria responds with a Headbutt to calm Catalina. Zaria hits a F5 on Catalina, who falls onto Jordan. Zaria also attempts another F5 on Hail, but Hail reverses and pins her quickly for the upset victory.
Winners: Thea Hail and La Catalina
– Backstage, Sean Legacy chats with Zilla Fatu. Legacy states that due to last week’s attack, Dorian Van Dux cannot compete tonight. Fatu asks if that means a three-on-two scenario for the night. Dorian Van Dux arrives and declares he can wrestle tonight. He feels fantastic. Legacy warns that he has a punctured lung and that Dux cannot step into the ring. He’ll need Dux for the Dusty Cup. Fatu asks if it’s three against two. Legacy says he already contacted EK Prosper to assist them tonight. Van Dux expresses disappointment.
– Cruz Montana takes center stage. Montana says his intentions when arriving in NXT were crystal clear. His sights were set on the NXT title, though he hasn’t piled up victories nor dropped the belt. His philosophy is to learn the lessons. No matter who emerges as champion after Grayson Waller vs. Mason Rook, he will be here waiting. The music of Darkstate hits and the faction arrives. Dion Lennox proclaims that Darkstate will push through the Dusty Cup to claim the titles. Meanwhile, Montana has nothing awaiting him. Montana accuses Lennox of talking big with his faction to back him up. So Lennox might step up as a solo challenger. Lennox counters that Montana was the TNA guy, Montana has held championships everywhere. But that doesn’t mean Montana is better than him. He is discipline, he is structured. Montana retorts that Prosper is the future of the business, but why? Because Prosper ate dust to come here just like Montana did? Montana says only he fought to correct his mistakes, he worked hard and learned from the best in the game. He’s proven himself and deserves everything on and off this ring. Despite Lennox’s skills, he’s nowhere near him.
Montana adds that Lennox came to wrestling because other paths failed. The NFL didn’t want Lennox either. He didn’t get any DMs for a tryout; he earned his place from the start. He carries his family, his city, and his culture on his shoulders. While people like Lennox think everything should be handed to him. Lennox fires back that his mother was not a drug dealer like Santana’s. He’s had exemplary upbringing, he’s proven himself to the point that WWE asked him to come. People hate him, but people like Montana. Why? Because he wasn’t a drug user like Montana. And Montana wants to play the hero as if he’s become a new person, but Montana should have been that person from the start. Montana has been forced to lose everything to become someone. Cruz Montana begins laying into Lennox!
– Backstage, Robert Stone congratulates Mason Rook on becoming the new NXT title hopeful. Tonight he is given an open mic to speak. Rook says he’s grateful for the chance to express himself. Hank and Tank arrive. Hank says Rook should say exactly what he believes and let it come from the gut. Rook thanks them for the guidance. Hank and Tank declare they’re ready for the Dusty Cup. It’s time to see whether the young talents have what it takes to face them.
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – First Round
Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) vs Jax Presley and Harley Riggins
At the end of the match, Riggins shoves Brutus off the ring. Presley and Riggins prepare a double team on Julius, but Brutus pushes Riggins off the ring. The Creed Brothers deliver their Double Chokeslam on Presley for the three-count.
Winners: Creed Brothers

Six-Man Tag Team Match
Zilla Fatu, Sean Legacy and EK Prosper vs Birthright (Lexis King, Stacks and Uriah Connors)
In the end, Fatu handles all three Birthright members. King calls for a forced tag to Connors to hide. Fatu lands a Hip Attack on Connors into the corner. Prosper tags in and climbs to the top, but the referee doesn’t notice the tag, as he is distracted by Arianna Grace. Legacy tags in again and soars from the corner, but Connors blocks him and quickly pins him for the victory.
Winners: Birthright
– After the match, Lexis King confronts Fatu to prove he won. Fatu lands a strike and corners him for a Samoan Spike, but Birthright pulls King off the apron to save him.
– Backstage, Emily announces to Zaria that she will defend her North American Championship against Thea Hail next week. Zaria notes there’s a difference between beating her in a Tag Team match and in a singles bout; it won’t happen again. Izzi Dame arrives, showing an old high school video of Zaria to shame her. Dame says she’ll be there to seize her title opportunity.
– The NXT Champion, Grayson Waller and Mason Rook come to the ring for their face-off. Waller informs the official that Rook doesn’t need a microphone as he doesn’t know how to use one. Waller states that he arrived in NXT with clear goals. First, to become champion; second, to elevate the title to a prestigious standard and to face the best. The current best is the rookie Rook. When he arrived in NXT, he asked who was eager to become champion; it seems there is no one besides Rook. They share a common ground: both left their families to chase their dreams. But Rook has been here six months and has no idea of the sacrifices. He’s running a marathon while Rook is sprinting toward the door for his food delivery.
Waller says the title means too much to take Rook lightly. He knows Rook is powerful and creative. No one Rook his size moves like that. There is a reason John Cena respects him, but Cena shouldn’t bet on the wrong thing. Rook is incredibly talented, but he’s not yet capable of becoming the face of NXT. Rook is weak and won’t put in the work to be here. Last week he watched him run a one-hour marathon while Rook played King Kong. He will make Rook feel things he’s never felt before. Rook will beg for air and he will quit. Waller says things have gotten too serious; he wants to have a little fun. He will hand over the mic to Rook, and Rook must find his guts and respond. But Rook should not swallow the mic; it’s not a frozen treat.
Rook says Waller can call him whatever he wants, but he isn’t stupid. Waller wants the funny reaction and to make people laugh. He wants to verbally bury him, and he will. Perhaps there’s a theory behind Waller’s return to NXT. Perhaps Waller lacks the vision for the main roster. Or perhaps Waller is upset because John Cena knew him before stepping into the WWE ring. But this is Waller’s game, and he won’t play because he knows Waller cannot outmatch him. What will happen in the ring, without a mic, when the bell rings? Waller will crumble before him. He isn’t here because he failed in another sport or division. He is here because he earned a spot as a WWE Superstar and he is the best big man in WWE. When he locks in the clutch on Waller, Waller will quickly realize that being good on the mic won’t save him.
The show ends with a face-off between Rook and Waller. The two will clash next week for the title!
