A tragic update on the evening of September 27, 2026 in North America as AEW announced the death of Pac, also known as Neville in WWE.
There was widespread confusion as Pac was in action against Andrade El Idolo at AEW All Out 2026 just 24 hours before the announcement of his passing. He had even appeared during the main event between Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley.
Hundreds of tributes to Pac quickly surfaced on social media from WWE and AEW wrestlers and beyond. Messages that would continue in the hours ahead.
The president of AEW, Tony Khan, commented on the news personally:
“Benjamin Satterley embodied excellence, whether as a husband and beloved friend to his many close ones, not to mention his knowledge of wrestling, his talent, his unrivaled athleticism, his professionalism, his consistency and his devotion to the sport he loved and for which he traveled the world. Rest in peace, Ben.”
AEW has not yet confirmed it, but one can already imagine that the AEW Dynamite show on September 30, 2026 will be in Pac’s memory. As they recently did for Butcher.
Becky Lynch of WWE, the two had spent time in NXT and joined the WWE main roster around the same time, wrote:
“One of the best, in every sense.”
The same goes for Kevin Owens, who was in the same period as Neville at NXT. He shares his affection for Pac with a few photos:
“The best guy there is… We love you.”
AEW commentator Taz looks back at a moment shared with Pac just before All Out last Saturday:
“An absolutely incredible wrestler and an equally wonderful human being. We shook hands briefly in the arena hallway last night before the show, and we smiled at each other as we both giggled… I will remember that forever. He was the best. My prayers and condolences to Ben’s family.”
Paul Heyman also says he’s shocked by the news:
“Oh no. No no no no no no no.
What an extraordinary talent and an even more wonderful human being. My sincerest condolences to all who knew him. A truly terrible loss!”
