Tony Schiavone has confirmed that Steven Borden is doing well in the aftermath of AEW All Out 2026.
Borden had been rushed to the emergency room after a fall during his match at AEW All Out to undergo tests to determine whether he had suffered a concussion or other injuries. Initial reports indicated that he was doing fine.
Today, Tony Schiavone, commentator and head of talent relations for AEW, spoke on his podcast and confirmed that Steven Borden is okay and that he has no health issues following All Out. The only concern of Sting’s son was whether he had spoiled the fans’ night or his colleagues’ evening with what happened.
The full statement from Tony Schiavone :
”I spoke to Steven again yesterday over the phone and he was doing well. He didn’t have a headache, he didn’t feel dizzy. As for a diagnosis, that has to come from our doctor because I’m not a doctor and I can’t do that, but I can tell you that when I spoke to him, he told me: “I’m doing fine.”‘
He told me: “In all the years I’ve played football for the University of Kentucky,” he said, “I’ve never had a concussion, I’ve never experienced anything like this,” and he was especially upset because he thought he had spoiled the pay-per-view due to what happened. I told him: “No, you didn’t spoil it because we announced it, and then we announced it a second time to the crowd, so everyone was very happy to know that you were alright; it really put everyone at ease.”
How long will he be out? I don’t know; I’m sure they’ll need to assess him before he can climb back into the ring.”
As mentioned by Tony Schiavone, Steven Borden will have to undergo AEW medical tests before he can return to the ring, even though he is feeling well.
