After AEW Dynamite: Jon Moxley Shares a Life Lesson from Pac

October 1, 2026

After the show ended, Jon Moxley paused to grab the microphone and speak to the fans in the arena, thanking them for being part of that moment and sharing a life lesson from Pac—a lesson that has stayed with him for years.

Everything hinges on always having a purpose and putting your heart into what you do in life:

“Thank you, thank you Pittsburgh for tonight. I know this isn’t at all what people expected when they bought tickets to a wrestling show. But it was something truly special, thank you for sharing it with us… I don’t have any particular words, clever or brilliant, for a moment when there are no words, but I wanted to share this one thing. Pac once said—it’s one of my favorite lines anyone has ever said about us—while we were sitting in a basement sauna cutting a promo, because we found it funny that he was sitting in a sauna sweating, in The Bastard mode, miserable in a sauna, you know, describing who we are, what this team is, what we do every day… and he said, excuse my language, he said: “We’re professionals who give a damn,” and that’s probably what I’ve wanted to hear most in my life; it’s what we aspire to.”

“It’s just a cooler, funnier way of saying… what we strive for every day, and you know, not everyone is a professional wrestler. Maybe you do something else. But no matter what you do with your time while you’re here, every day, put your heart into it, have something to give. If you’re going to do something, do it well. If you’re going to cook an omelette, if you’re going to your job, if you’re going to pick up your kids from school to take them to the park, no matter what you do, do it with a purpose, and put your heart into it. Do it with purpose and gratitude, and surround yourself with people you love, who care about the same things you do, and that’s… I don’t know, because I know nothing, but perhaps that’s the secret of life. So, thank you Pittsburgh!”

A lesson that really makes you reflect on life’s prospects.
