AEW unveils a new stipulation at WrestleDream 2026, and it’s Clockwork Carnage.
The announcement was made during Collision on October 3, 2026: an eight-participant match that will unfold across two stages with a single victor. And the eight entrants will contend for the AEW World Championship.
Here are the rules for this new Clockwork Carnage stipulation :
- Two wrestlers will start the match.
- Every three minutes, another wrestler will enter the match.
- Until all eight entrants have entered, a wrestler who is pinned for a three-count or who submits will be eliminated.
- Once all the wrestlers are in the match, the remaining competitors will go at it for 15 minutes to accumulate points.
- A three-count pin or a submission grants a point.
- The wrestler with the most points will win and become the AEW World Champion.
A new stipulation that promises plenty of action!
Fans will want to keep an eye on AEW Grand Slam France to discover the first entrants, with the championship likely to be decided between Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada. Not to mention that Samoa Joe and Jack Perry will clash to earn a spot as one of the other seven entrants.
