Ethan Page in the ring, we had missed that!
The Canadian is still chasing Chad Gable’s Intercontinental title. And for that, Ethan must prove he’s up to the task by taking down the AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix during this RAW on October 5. While the former NXT champion taunted him in front of the Saint Louis crowd, the masked wrestler made his entrance.
The title isn’t on the line this Monday: this match is only a tune-up. From the opening bell, Ethan Page proved his physical superiority by forcefully shoving his opponent. But as expected, Fenix managed to regain the advantage thanks to his technique and agility… He’s not champion for nothing!
And just as Ethan Page had managed to counter the Mexican Mustle Buster, Rey Fenix managed to surprise his foe with a clever roll-up: the Hamilton native failed to break free in time. The Canadian is disgusted: he loses the match and falls to the back of the line… The Intercontinental title, this won’t be happening anytime soon.
