Two wrestlers have confirmed their spots for AEW’s next pay-per-view following Grand Slam France.
They are Will Ospreay and Mercedes Moné, who successfully defended their respective titles on the Grand Slam special Dynamite on October 6. This development confirms that they will defend their championships at WrestleDream 2026.
On the Mercedes Moné side, the Moné vs Thekla match is now official. It should be noted that the two wrestlers have never faced each other, making it a historic first-time bout. Thekla had lost the title to Willow Nightingale, and Moné had subsequently captured the belt from Willow.
This will be Thekla’s chance to try to reclaim the title she had lost. For Moné, it will be about proving that she can subdue the former champion.
On the Ospreay side, he secures his place in Clockwork Carnage at WrestleDream. Ospreay will defend his title in this new stipulation involving eight men. It is also known that Samoa Joe will participate; the other entrants will be revealed on upcoming AEW shows.
