Samoa Joe Becomes First to Qualify for Clockwork Carnage After AEW Grand Slam France

October 7, 2026

Samoa Joe has become the first wrestler to qualify for Clockwork Carnage at AEW WrestleDream 2026.

During the Grand Slam France edition of Dynamite on October 6, Samoa Joe defeated Jungle Jack Perry in a singles match to earn his place at the upcoming pay-per-view.

Jack Perry had demanded a match against Samoa Joe, and Joe answered the call at All Out 2026. It marked Samoa Joe’s first match since his May 2026 hiatus for the filming of the next season of Twisted Metal.

Joe was in great form, he even pulled out his ”Joe Special” to counter a corner dive, much to the delight of the French crowd. Samoa Joe finished the match with his Muscle Buster to secure his ticket to WrestleDream.

Clockwork Carnage is an eight-man match where the AEW World Championship will be on the line. The wrestlers must first eliminate one another, then the survivors must accumulate as many points as possible to win the title.

AEW WrestleDream 2026 will take place on October 17; you can find the card and schedule at this link.
