Wren Sinclair surprised everyone by winning the Battle Royale!
Last night at NXT, 20 female wrestlers from 6 different rosters fought to become the No. 1 contender for the NXT title held by Kelani Jordan. Last week, the champion stated that none of them were up to the task.
The Catalina, Xia Brookside, Kiana James, Ivy Nile or Indi Hartwell, the stars were plentiful in Orlando. The North American Champion notably showcased her dominance throughout the match, but the Australian was eliminated in a foolish fashion. In the end, Kali Armstrong eliminated Lizzy Rain last. However, backstage, the AAA wrestler Lady Shani eliminated Kali. But it wasn’t her, no… The masked participant revealed her identity: it was Wren Sinclair! Kelani was furious. A few hours after this viral segment, Kendal Grey’s friend shared her feelings emotionally on Busted Open.
She states:
“ That feels so good, sorry, I’m going to cry… This breath of fresh air, literally and figuratively. It was so rewarding. I can’t even tell you how rewarding it was when Kelani looked at me. She had no idea who it was. She doesn’t know AAA. She lives only in her own bubble, the one around Kelani Jordan. And pulling me out of there, for the fans, was perfect.
Under this mask, the fans knew who I was. But hearing them continue to chant my name even though I wasn’t even there was crazy. It feels great to finally see them believe in me. Because, again, I hadn’t given them a reason to believe until now. So I’m really looking forward to kicking Kelani’s butt for them.”
Wren Sinclair will therefore be able to avenge her partner soon, likely at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 31.
