U.S. Embassy in Riyadh Issues New Security Alert

October 9, 2026

The situation in Saudi Arabia remains unsettled, and now the American embassy has issued a fresh security alert for U.S. travelers.

The embassy warns citizens to stay away from the Yemeni border. It also cautions travelers that civilian airports are among the targets of those opposed to the conflict.

Consequently, flights could be significantly delayed if an attack occurs or a risk is present. The statement reads:

”The Houthis have launched hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including at civilian airports, and the military conflict could intensify. American citizens should be aware of flight cancellations, airspace closures and potential travel disruptions. We recommend checking your flight status directly with the airline and the airport.”

The embassy also reminds people to stay away from crowds and from places where there is a heavy police presence. This is a developing situation and will be watched closely ahead of WWE Crown Jewel in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which is scheduled for early November 2026.

As mentioned by Catch-Newz, WWE will continue to assess the situation. It is a situation that can change quickly, so it is too early to discuss a show cancellation.
