The five-star match was inevitable.
Last night on RAW, Chad Gable and Rey Fenix stunned everyone, whether the fans watching from home or the crowd in attendance in Louisiana. At the end of a match as exceptional as it was intense against the Cruiserweight Champion, the American wrestler managed to trap his opponent with the ankle lock for the victory.
A match that further solidified Chad’s incredible Intercontinental Championship reign. 72 days, not bad, right? In the wake of this great duel, Gable took to social media and congratulated his foe for the night as well as the crowd.
He states:
“Last night, once again, I felt ALIVE. I challenged Rey Fenix to show himself under an unprecedented light last night to face me and attempt to steal my Intercontinental Championship. He far exceeded my expectations. He delivered the kind of visceral fight I crave every time I step into the ring since I won the title.”
“I want to thank both Rey Fenix and the crowd in attendance at Bossier City for giving me everything you had last night. See you soon, amigo. By the way, my face today looks like minced and mangled meat… and my wife has planned a family photo session for tonight. And no, I’m not joking.”
After the match, the champion and Ethan Page tangled again backstage. Will Chad Gable be forced to defend his belt against the crafty Canadian?
