Drew McIntyre in Peak Form Ahead of WWE Return

October 22, 2026

Drew McIntyre’s return to WWE remains eagerly awaited.

This week, Drew McIntyre sat down for an interview with Chris Van Vliet to discuss his career and future plans. He also provided an update on his return.

Still without specifying when it will happen, McIntyre declares that he will come back in even better shape than before. He has been training on the base to become more agile and faster than ever:

“I train relentlessly. In the sense that I’m rebuilding my body from the ground up to improve my foundations. I didn’t realize how important it was until last year, and now I really have a great base. I work very hard, to a point where my conditioning and my agility have never been as good, I’d say in my life, but certainly in the last 12 years. I feel at the peak of agility. I am bigger than I’ve ever been, and I move better than ever.”

“I get the sense that some of my finishing moves and attacks will be unique. I’ve seen clips of me that fans sent me, compilations of my best moments, and I thought: I didn’t realize I did that; I’m going to borrow some of my own moves.”

“I had forgotten that I performed half of those movements, and physically, I can now execute them with ease, and probably better than when I was in my twenties.”

Drew McIntyre’s return is sure to be quite a surprise. Despite his absence for film commitments, he has evidently stayed very active physically to take things to the next level.

The WWE’s upcoming shows are to be watched closely.
