Sin Cara Could Return to WWE

October 22, 2026

The Sin Cara character could be making a return to WWE in the near future.

Indeed, PWInsider confirms that WWE officials have held discussions to revive the Sin Cara character. Those discussions are currently at the initial stage of evaluating the possibilities.

Although the possibilities are at the earliest stage, False Finish confirms that WWE even has a potential name to fill the masked role. WWE has considered using Myzteziz Jr. to carry the Sin Cara gimmick.

Myzteziz Jr. is a wrestler for WWE’s Mexican branch of AAA, but he is used very little. So it would be easy to place him under the mask without drawing too much attention from WWE fans.

A Return from 2011

Sin Cara is a character that WWE launched in 2011. The company had signed the legend Mistico and gave him his new identity as Sin Cara in order to obtain the rights to the character and the mask.

Unfortunately, there had been a few missteps with Mistico, so WWE decided to replace the original Sin Cara with another wrestler who was Hunico until his departure from WWE in 2019. If the project goes ahead, it would be a return with another wrestler under the mask.

More news to come.
