John Cena Classic Takes Shape With Two Dates

October 22, 2026

December is approaching, and we still do not know when the John Cena Classic 2026 event will take place.

An event designed to showcase the new generation against the current one, with fans voting on who they believe is the best. The person chosen will be awarded the honorary title of the John Cena Classic.

Today, WrestleVotes confirms that WWE officials are considering two potential dates for the event. The first date would be the weekend of December 12, 2026 after Wrestlepalooza in Australia. And the second option would be the weekend of December 19, 2026, coinciding with AEW Worlds End and just before their PLE AAA Guerra de Titanes.

WWE officials do not want to overload the calendar and would opt for the first weekend of December. Three weekends in a row with PLEs are considered too much internally, and the December 26 date is already booked for a Live Event at Madison Square Garden.

If we look at WWE’s latest scheduling strategy, one can imagine that the final choice will be December 19 against AEW Worlds End.

A broadcast to watch

The method for watching the show is still to be determined. WWE is studying the possibility of broadcasting the show exclusively for WWE Club members in the United States.

International broadcasting remains to be confirmed since the WWE Club is currently available only in the United States.

The official WWE announcement will validate all of these elements.
