WWE SmackDown in Ontario, California

– Tonight it’s WWE SmackDown, the blue brand kicks off with a video of the face-off between Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns on RAW last Monday.
– Sami Zayn’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring alongside Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae. Zayn grabs the microphone and is booed. Zayn says there are haters here tonight. But he must know who is here tonight to continue the journey of the last good guy? Zayn says it has been an interesting week; he confronted the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. Reigns told him that he is the man who makes the title. But he started to reflect: who is the man here? The alpha male of the human race is the man who is the smartest, who always finds a way, who always survives, and that is him! There is only one WWE Champion on this planet and it’s him. The entire roster has their sights set on a single man and that is him! So if there is anything he won’t tolerate here, it is… the music of Rey Fenix interrupts.
Rey Fenix says he warned him that he didn’t know if his brother Penta would take the briefcase from Zayn or Reigns. They remain friends, but Penta is his brother. And if Zayn disrespects his brother, they will have a problem. Zayn says there’s no problem here. He has always shown respect for them; he just believes Penta should focus on Reigns. He merely has trouble with those who show disrespect. The music of Trick Williams hits and he arrives! Williams says Zayn has told a lot of lies. Zayn also said he doesn’t know how to survive. But perhaps that’s because Zayn doesn’t strike fear into him. He is the United States Champion, he graces the cover of Catch-Newz, he married the most beautiful woman, so he’s not afraid of anything. What scares him is that he has only been here for ten months and he’s getting better. He looks at Sami Zayn, twenty-five years in the business, and Zayn still tries to convince people that he knows how to do it. And it’s funny because he already beat him at WrestleMania.
Williams says that Zayn isn’t the king. Zayn is a fool. It’s he who has the look of a champion, who speaks like a champion and who smells like a champion. When you talk about a champion, he is the veteran and Zayn the rookie. So they can stop talking and Zayn will give him a title match. Zayn replies that Williams should really be afraid of him. He says he could leave him in pieces on the floor without effort. He could expose Williams for who he really is. He is on a level Williams can’t even see. He could destroy him on the mic, but he won’t because he’s a good guy. Williams can enjoy his moment, because one day the fans will come to the same conclusion: Williams doesn’t have what it takes. So Williams is far from a title match. Williams says he’s not asking for a title match, he wants his title match. Otherwise he’ll come and take it. Williams approaches to strike, but Gargano hits him first.
Nick Aldis arrives and says the problem is that Zayn and Williams think they can decide here. He’s the boss here and he will remind them. So tonight Sami Zayn and Gargano will face Williams and Fenix!

– Roxanne Perez comes to the ring. Backstage, the champion arrives.
WWE Women’s Championship – Singles Match
Roxanne Perez vs Chelsea Green (c)
Towards the end of the match, Green climbs to the turnbuckle, but Raquel Rodriguez arrives to push her to the mat while the referee is distracted! Perez takes advantage with a Shining Wizard on Green and covers, but Green survives. Iyo Sky appears at ringside to push Rodriguez away. Perez launches herself with a suicida dive onto Sky to keep her away as well. Perez returns to the ring and goes for a Pop Rox, but Green blocks with her Unprettier for the three-count.
Winner: Chelsea Green
– After the match, Green celebrates her victory, but Liv Morgan rushes in to attack her from behind! The Judgment Day gang up on Sky and Green in a three-on-three assault, but Tiffany Stratton rushes to the ring to aid them and drive the Judgment Day back! Stratton contemplates cashing in her briefcase on Liv Morgan to become champion again, but Rodriguez and Perez pull Morgan off the ring and make their exit!
– The announcers announce that Baron Corbin will be out indefinitely due to an injury to his eye suffered after Cody Rhodes’s Punt Kick.
– Backstage, Chelsea Green thanks Iyo Sky and Tiffany Stratton for their help. It was a pleasant surprise to see Stratton again. Stratton says she can’t wait to cash in her briefcase on Liv Morgan to become champion once more. The three of them plan to go celebrate tonight.
Street Fight
Blake Monroe vs Giulia
At the end of the match, Monroe sprays Giulia with an extinguisher to blind her. Monroe hits a Suplex onto chairs at ringside. Monroe brings Giulia back to the ring for a maneuver, but Giulia reverses into a quick pin and manages to kick out. Monroe then nails a Neutralizer for the three-count on Giulia.
Winner: Blake Monroe
– Backstage, Randy Orton strolls out to the ring and takes the microphone. Orton says the WWE “Golden Boy,” the man in gold, the champion, the movie star, Cody Rhodes—or whatever he is now—should know he’s proud of him. He’s proud of Rhodes because he never believed Rhodes would have the guts to deliver a Punt Kick to someone. It’s a badge of honor that he’s the only one to punt Rhodes. Rhodes can pull the trigger as he wishes, strike people in the head as he wishes, but it’s meaningless unless Rhodes can do it to him. The man who for twenty years defeated legends and punt-kicked them without hesitation. He knows that when Rhodes gets the chance, Rhodes will hesitate again. The music of Cody Rhodes hits and he arrives at the ring. Officials rush in to try and calm the emotions.
Cody Rhodes says he wonders since when Orton became a coward. Orton was known as the Apex Predator, so why is he not afraid now? He knows exactly who Orton is. Orton is the killer of legends. He’s seen him perform punts and watched him kill legends like Shawn Michaels and even his father. If you look at Orton’s OVW class, Orton is the last man standing. When Orton delivered the Punt Kick to him, one returned the next day while the other went home to hide. He is the killer of legends; the legend killers. The RKO may be the most dangerous set of letters in WWE. But for Orton, it’s Orton who has given him everything he could. So what are they waiting for in this confrontation? Officials separate Orton and Rhodes.
Nick Aldis tries to speak, but Orton stops him. Orton says he doesn’t want to have this match right now. Nick Aldis says if Orton doesn’t want to do it now, they can do it at Crown Jewel. Rhodes says Aldis isn’t listening to the fans or to him. He’ll face Orton, but he wants a Last Man Standing Match! Orton agrees, but notes that it was Rhodes who asked for it.
– Return, the women wrestlers come to the ring.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Tag Team Match
B-Fab and Michin accompanied by Jade Cargill vs Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley (c)
Towards the end of the match, Bliss scales the turnbuckles and Paxley makes the tag. Bliss lands a Cross Body on B-Fab from the corner. Michin counters with a Drop Kick to Bliss. Paxley capitalizes with a kick to Michin. Paxley climbs to the top and leaps, but Michin dodges. Paxley pulls her down with a Headbutt and goes for her finisher, but Michin blocks it and distracts the referee. Cargill seizes the moment to land a right-hand to Paxley on the head! Michin then hits a Styles Clash on Paxley for the three-count.
Winners: B-Fab and Michin – New Champions
– After the bout, Jade Cargill celebrates with the new champions.
– In the backstage area, Cathy asks Trick Williams why he was in Nick Aldis’s office. Williams says he has the good news. Next week, it will be him against Sami Zayn for the WWE Championship! Rey Fenix arrives and says that’s great, but there is their match tonight first. Fenix and Williams exit. Damian Priest arrives and is furious upon hearing the news.
– Backstage, it’s announced that next week SmackDown will go Halloween mode with Danhausen as host.
– The MFT group comes to the ring. Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki arrive as well, but they enjoy posing on the stage. Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga can’t take it any longer and they head to the stage to fight Nakamura and Kyoki. Officials intervene to separate everyone.
– In a video from earlier today, Nick Aldis is with CM Punk and Kevin Owens so they can say everything before their match. Aldis says their match is official in two weeks on SmackDown, so if they have something to say, now is the time. Punk says they should get ready to face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel, but Owens cost him the title. Owens says he held the title twice and Punk cost him the Zayn match, that’s the truth. Owens says he would have been happy never to see Punk again, but Punk returned. Things were fine for years, but Punk is back. Punk says this is a waste of time. Owens says he thought Money in the Bank was over, but Punk wants another match. Punk says Owens will keep going until he can’t anymore. They stop arguing. Aldis concludes that everything has been said and they will see each other in two weeks.
Tag Team Match
Sami Zayn and Johnny Gargano accompanied by Candice LeRae vs Rey Fenix and Trick Williams
Towards the end of the match, Ricky Saints arrives ringside to attack Rey Fenix for no reason! The referee calls for the bell and the match ends in disqualification.
Winners: Rey Fenix and Trick Williams via disqualification
– After the bout, Zayn, Gargano and Saints rain down blows on Fenix and Williams. Penta’s music hits and he storms to the ring, forcing the trio to retreat. Penta asks Sami Zayn if he’s stupid. He wants a Six-Man Tag now!
