Ric Flair is obliged to cancel his upcoming autograph sessions due to a health issue.
The legend shared the information on Twitter that he is suffering from a blood clot in his leg and that he already has a scheduled procedure to go under the knife to correct the situation.
Ric Flair explains that because of this he cannot travel for more than four hours, so he must default to cancel his upcoming appearances on his calendar. He says he is sorry for all those who wanted to see him, but this is a very serious health situation:
“I want to extend my sincerest apologies to my agent Steve Solomon, to the Washington State Horror Con, to the Big Event NY, and especially to all my Seattle fans for the cancellation of my scheduled appearance.”
“Unfortunately, I am suffering from a blood clot in my leg, and my doctors have limited my travel to trips of 3 to 4 hours maximum. Seattle exceeds that limit, and while I am extremely disappointed, I must make my health and recovery a top priority.”
“Blood clots are extremely serious and can be life-threatening. We recently saw this with Jalen Hurts and the complications tied to blood clots in his lungs. This is a reminder not to take this lightly, and I must follow medical advice.”
“A surgical intervention is planned in order to perform a venous procedure on the affected vein, which, according to my doctors, should allow me to receive the green light to travel further in the future. […]”
Ric Flair remains signed with AEW and continues his journey with the company. He is now 77 years old and has faced numerous health issues.
He aims to continue this convalescence and be able to resume his appearances.
