Gunther in 2026, it isn’t what we expected.
While many believed that the Ring General would sweep all the world titles and achieve great success within WWE this year, today, he is in a rivalry with Danhausen… Fans are rightfully concerned. One of his fiercest rivals, Ilja Dragunov, did not hesitate to respond to the treatment of his friend, on the microphone with Ariel Helwani. The Mad Dragon also seems worried.
He states :
“I think I share the same feeling as many other people. If it’s up to you to retire John Cena, it’s somewhat necessary, in my view, to respect a certain level of excellence.
For me, he is one of the best. He will remain one of the greatest of all time. He is a very dear friend, since… I don’t know, maybe 2014 or 2015. I know he is good. I know he will always be up to the task and that everything he does will be great. But I can of course imagine that in light of the level he has set and the way he has been presented, it’s not necessarily where we expected him to be.”
Ilja Dragunov, meanwhile, is thriving in AEW after making his debut last week against Mike Bailey. Could Gunther leave WWE if his treatment does not change in your view?
