This Saturday, October 31, will also see another defense of the LWA’s tag team titles, Catch-Newz has learned!
On one side, the reigning champions and the luckiest duo in France, the Lucky 80s!
They are the first team and the symbol of the LWA itself, having formed in March 2025 when “Lucky” Vini Wells found himself alone for his match, and was joined, saved, by Eddy Daniel.
Since then, the duo remains undefeated and etched their name in history on February 28 last year when they became the very first LWA tag team champions by defeating Ethan Riley & André Gruet, securing the first titles in the Lyon-based promotion!
“Lucky” Vini Wells, the luckiest man in the world, trained at the Flatbacks Wrestling School by Shawn Spears and Tyler Breeze. With him, destinies’ twists are never far away, much to the dismay of his opponents. Eddy Daniel, a man from another era, trained at Cody Rhodes’s Nightmare Factory, and also founder and president of HCW in Cahors. Together, they have managed to forge a special bond with the audience who can’t wait to wave their posters and witness the skull-kiss moment!
Facing them, perhaps the team with the fastest ascent in recent years: Lio Jayce, Jadon Carter. The Starboyz.
The vigor of youth, the grit, the hunger for matches, for victories, for titles!
The Starboyz’s recent months speak for themselves: coming close to reclaiming the APC titles on several occasions, scoring notable wins against increasingly imposing teams. What lies ahead for them? Titles. Wherever they go in France, it’s their sole objective. Ironically, in April last year they were crowned tag team champions for the first time in their careers… within Eddy Daniel’s HCW.
So this Saturday, they will be keen to prove themselves once again in a venue that means a lot to them, and to return to Paris with new belts, those of the LWA tag team champions!
