Since the World Heavyweight title was introduced, the debate has been sparked every year: which of the two world titles is the most prestigious?
A few days ago, Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns faced off and raised the stakes on this topic. For Roman Reigns, it’s the holder of the belt that defines its prestige. What is certain is that no matter the champion, Damian Priest wants to reclaim the world championship. Asked about his preference between the two world titles on the Off the Rope show, the former member of Judgement Day shared his view.
He states:
“It’s the roster championship title that means you are. Right now, RAW’s number one, Roman, sits above everyone. Sami sits above everyone on SmackDown. So, guess what? No matter which roster I find myself in, that’s where I want to be at the top. It’s not about who is better than whom, but about being the champion of your roster, and that means you are the number one on that roster.”
Damian Priest hasn’t held a world title for over two years. Do you want to see him return as world champion?
