WWE Plans Tokyo Show in 2027

November 5, 2026

The WWE is considering staging a major show in Tokyo in 2027.

Indeed, Mark Shapiro, the president of the TKO group, has confirmed that Nick Khan has had discussions to organize a show in Tokyo.

During the TKO shareholders’ meeting for the third quarter of 2026, Mark Shapiro reviewed the upcoming locations they will visit and confirmed a piece of news for the WWE:

“I am also very optimistic about the discussions led by Nick Khan to bring the WWE to Tokyo next year.”

It should be noted that WWE has only begun streaming on Netflix in Japan this year. Therefore, a major show being broadcast could be the right moment for WWE and Netflix to promote the broadcasting in the country.

Further details will be monitored closely. The last Live Events tour in Japan dates back to October 2025, while the most recent broadcasted show was “Beast in the East” in 2015 on the WWE Network.

Also discussions in Africa

Mark Shapiro also confirmed that he undertook a trip to Africa to prepare UFC’s first PPV on the continent.

UFC has never hosted a gala in Africa; it would mark a major first that could also open doors for WWE’s return to Africa.

Don’t forget that a negotiation for UFC could also pave the way for negotiations across the entire TKO group including WWE.

More information will be watched closely.
