Adriana Rizzo Breaks Silence After WWE Release

September 6, 2026

She says she fought like crazy for this return that ultimately never occurred, at least not inside the WWE ring. Her statement:

“My journey with WWE has come to an end.”

“The last four years have brought some of the greatest moments of my life, but also very difficult trials, and through all of that I am proud to have stayed true to myself.”

“I am incredibly grateful for the time I spent with the Tony D’Angelo Family. They have truly become a family to me. Portraying Adriana Rizzo was a unique experience, and I loved every second I could bring her to life. This opportunity showed me that I was capable of so much more than I believed.”

“My journey hasn’t been easy. An Achilles tendon rupture followed by surgery, then an ACL and meniscus operation kept me away from the ring for nearly half of my time in NXT. But I fought like crazy to come back.”

“And I did.”

“What makes this ending hard is knowing how much I fought to return, without having had the chance to show you all I still had to offer. But I will never regret the effort needed to get there.”

“If a part of my journey can mean something to someone who has been knocked down, overlooked, hurt, or told they were too far behind, I hope it reminds you to keep moving forward. STAY RESILIENT!”

Beginnings in 2022

Adriana Rizzo joined WWE in 2022. She made the leap from college athletics to WWE through the NIL program, coming from the track world.

Most of her career has been spent with the D’Angelo Family, but as noted in her statement she suffered two major injuries. This forced her to spend roughly half of her time on the sidelines.

Rizzo adds that she doesn’t know what the future holds for her, since she didn’t originally come from wrestling, she might return to her pre-WWE pursuits.

The next updates will be watched on this front.
