That was the big question: who won the ratings war between AEW and WWE NXT on November 4, 2026.
On one side, AEW aired in its usual time slot with the Blood and Guts theme. On the other, NXT was broadcast on Wednesday due to the U.S. midterm elections, featuring an XXL lineup.
Ultimately, AEW defeated NXT:
– 792,000 viewers for AEW Dynamite
– 552,000 viewers for WWE NXT.
WWE stacked the card with John Cena, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Paige, while offering a lineup worthy of a PLE to compete with AEW. Despite everything, AEW managed to come out on top in its time slot.
We must not forget that when AEW airs on Tuesday nights due to the broadcaster, it is NXT that usually takes the win. These decisions always come from the broadcaster and not from a desire to compete with the other show.
All signs point to the American audience simply being used to watching their show in the right time slot
