AEW Dynamite Pac Tribute: An Emotional Show and Several Returns

October 1, 2026

A full tribute show on AEW Dynamite for Pac on September 30, 2026!

AEW presented a two-hour program dedicated to the life and career of Pac, also known as Neville in WWE. Two hours of action where wrestlers clashed in his honor.

It was a very moving show. Between the wrestlers’ testimonies about how much Pac had marked their lives, or a message from Pac’s family, and the emotions of the performers during their matches.

AEW again demonstrated its ability to stage a tribute program. The show ended with a video montage of the wrestler’s career, accompanied by the song “I Know How To Speak” by Manchester Orchestra:

Returns in addition to the emotions

Despite the tears, there were also a few returns.

Indeed, wrestlers chose to come back from injury or to come out of their “retirement” for this special show. First, Mercedes Moné and Wardlow made their returns from injury. The two stars participated in their first match since they had been recovering.

Next, Kenny Omega, who had been absent since All In, stepped back into the ring alongside The Elite to honor Pac. And not forgetting Bryan Danielson, who made his return alongside the Death Riders. What a surprise since the Death Riders were preparing for a five-on-five match, but they were missing a fifth partner as Pac is no longer with them.

It was at that moment that Bryan Danielson charged down to the ring to take part in his first televised match since AEW WrestleDream 2024! Danielson had paused his wrestling career to treat neck pains that had returned.

Despite this comeback with the Death Riders as before, it remains impossible to confirm whether Danielson will return on a full-time basis. It may well have been a one-night return to honor his friend Pac.

A successful tribute show for AEW that will be etched in the memories of the fans.
