A full-blown tribute show on AEW Dynamite on September 30, 2026!
AEW delivered a two-hour program dedicated to the life and career of Pac, the wrestler known as Neville in WWE. Two hours during which competitors clashed in his honor.
It was a very emotional show. Between wrestlers sharing how Pac had shaped their lives, a message from Pac’s family, and the emotions running through the matches themselves, the night resonated deeply.
AEW once again proved its ability to stage a tribute show. The program ended with a video montage celebrating the wrestler’s career, set to the Manchester Orchestra track “I Know How To Speak.”

More returns alongside the emotions
Despite the tears, there were also a few returns.
Indeed, some wrestlers chose to come back from injury or emerge from their “retirement” for this special show. First, Mercedes Moné and Wardlow made their injury comebacks. Both took part in their first match since recovering.
Next, Kenny Omega, who had been absent since All In, stepped back into the ring alongside The Elite to honour Pac. And not to forget Bryan Danielson, who made his return beside the Death Riders. Quite a surprise as the Death Riders were preparing for a 5-on-5 match, but they were missing a fifth partner since Pac is no longer with them.
It was at that moment that Bryan Danielson barged onto the ring to participate in his first televised match since AEW WrestleDream 2024! Danielson had paused his wrestling career to address neck pains that had returned.
Despite this return with the Death Riders as before, it remains impossible to confirm whether Danielson would be back on a full-time basis. It could very well have been a one-night return to honor his friend Pac.
A successful tribute show for AEW that will be etched in fans’ memories.
