The death of Pac was a shock three days ago.
Not only for the fans and for his loved ones, but also for Andrade. The Mexican wrestler was the last to face the Englishman before he passed away 24 hours later. Yesterday, El Idolo broke his silence on social media, and he posted a long, heartfelt message on social networks about Pac’s sudden death.
« I still can’t believe it! I was heading home to Miami, after deciding to take a day or two off from social media, when I received a call from Penta asking me if I was aware of anything or if something had happened during the match. I replied: “I can’t believe what you’re telling me,” and he said: “Me neither, I don’t believe it either.” We thought it was just a rumor, “Let’s hope it’s just a lie!”, until I started receiving messages and calls from wrestlers across different promotions.
I reached out to the AEW office, which confirmed the news was true. It was something I never would have imagined! He looked in great shape on Saturday, we finished the bout, and Ben was looking forward to heading back to London soon to see his family. I would never have imagined it would be his last match; we both knew we still had a lot to give. He was someone I had always wanted to wrestle against, and I loved sharing the ring with him. He was a truly exceptional wrestler, he had everything going for him and he always pushed me to give that little extra; he kept getting better every year, and every year I told myself: “PAC is even better than before.”
My friend, you were incredible in the ring, there was no one like you, and outside the ring you had a huge heart! We have been in so many promotions at the same time without ever facing each other (NJPW, NXT, WWE), and we could only measure our rivalry three times in AEW! You will be missed, Amigo! A few hours after his match against Pac at AEW All Out, Andrade mentioned on X that his opponent deserved a world title. Unfortunately, that would never happen.
