Should Austin Theory have cashed in his briefcase successfully?
That year, WWE saw him as a true star. On July 2, 2022, at just 24 years old, Austin clinched the Money in the Bank contract, but he would not succeed in cashing in and would fail miserably. Four years later, on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast, the Maverick asked his Vision partner: Do you feel like you were robbed when you didn’t successfully cash in that briefcase?
Austin Theory responds :
“ Yes, even with that moment I lived through with Roman, when he threw at me: “Your father is no longer here.” At that moment, I wanted to tell him the same thing. But in a sense, it’s as if he belonged to Vince’s crew… I knew I wasn’t going to snatch the title from Roman, but I would have liked it to have a bit more impact.”
Today in 2026, Austin Theory is stagnating in RAW’s midcard.
