Big Cass confirms that he struggled to make his return to WWE without Enzo Amore, but despite everything he believes he managed to get through it.
We have to go back to the beginning of October when it emerged that some WWE officials were held back due to Enzo Amore’s absence. The pressure from fans who wanted to see the Enzo Amore and Big Cass duo led the creative team to reevaluate certain storylines for Cass.
Big Cass’s statement in which he confirms that going solo was more difficult, in an interview for the Sal Licata Show :
“But yes, it makes things a lot harder than starting from a blank slate. Especially because when the news of my signing with WWE came out, it was immediately tied to this person. ‘They’re getting back together. They’ll team up again.’ A lot of podcasts picked up that rumor, and people believed it.”
“So when I returned solo, some people asked: ‘Wait, what?’ And that made things a bit complicated. But I think so far I’m doing quite well with the situation I’m in, even as I’m booed across arenas, which is really the intended goal.”
Big Cass has now started a fresh new tag team with Ethan Page, and his WWE return is only just getting started.
The upcoming WWE RAW shows will be watched closely to see how WWE will continue to navigate the situation.
