Tonight, Chad Gable is taking a big risk.
Since shedding the mask of El Grande Americano, the Intercontinental Champion has regained his momentum, all thanks to the Mexican fans. And this Monday on RAW, Chad will repay them with an outstanding performance against Dragon Lee, you can count on it. A few hours before his title defense, the 40-year-old wrestler spoke out on social media.
He states:
“ On May 30, I received something from the Mexican people that I will never forget. Tonight, I return for the first time… as champion, and I will repay them. I will defend the Intercontinental title on RAW, in Mexico City, for the first time in the history of this title. See you tonight, amigos!”
On Dragon Lee’s side, this marks the third time he attempts to claim the Intercontinental title in a championship bout. Could tonight be his night?
