Chelsea Green: I’ve Always Struggled with Impostor Syndrome

October 17, 2026

Despite her status as the undisputed WWE Women’s Champion, Chelsea Green lacks self-confidence.

Throughout her career, the Canadian wrestler fought to reach this dream: to become the face of the women’s division. They nearly took the belt away from her, but Chelsea persevered to keep it. Yet the 35-year-old wrestler has always feared that her reign might end. In an interview with Jeremy Jacobowitz last week, the current champion opened up about her worries.

She states :

“Actually, I’ve always feared that they could strip all of this away from me in an instant. You see what I mean? I live in constant fear that it could happen.”

“I’ve always suffered from impostor syndrome in wrestling, like, really a lot, which is a bit funny because in life I tell myself: “Yeah, I’m here, I do this, and that’s that.” I don’t really live in fear, but in wrestling I’ve always dealt with impostor syndrome.”

“Simply because I fell into this by chance, and everything unfolded in just as random a way. You know, it took me 13 years, but I still have this constant feeling of wondering: Will I show up to work and will they tell me: ‘You’re not good enough?’”

Ce 7 novembre à Crown Jewel, Chelsea Green aura l’occasion de prouver sa valeur contre l’autre championne mondiale de la compagnie, Liv Morgan.
