CM Punk has already confirmed his participation in the John Cena Classic on December 14, 2026.
WWE has not yet officially announced CM Punk for the John Cena Classic, but Punk took the initiative by announcing it on Instagram. He commented on WWE’s post to reveal that he will participate in the John Cena Classic and in WWE Worlds Collide Avengers Doomsday.
He writes:
“I’m going to work on both shows.”
Over the past year, CM Punk has enjoyed mixing it up with the new generation. We’ve seen him at WWE NXT live events, and he will be seen again at NXT on November 4, 2026 when he faces the champion Grayson Waller.
Apparently, CM Punk did not want to wait for an invitation and is making his presence felt directly. So currently Cody Rhodes and CM Punk are the first two participants in the John Cena Classic.
