Contract Expiration Confirmed for Anthony Bowens and Max Caster

October 2, 2026

The contract expiration for Anthony Bowens and Max Caster with AEW has been confirmed.

Indeed, Fightful confirms that as of October 2, 2026, Bowens and Caster’s deals have not been renewed and they are on the free-agent market.

It was at the end of September that it was learned the former duo’s contract was coming to an end and that no discussions were underway to sign a new deal. There was radio silence from both the wrestlers and AEW; no negotiations had begun.

Unless a new signing materializes in the coming days, Bowens and Caster are no longer with AEW. This news may come as a surprise given that The Acclaimed had marked AEW’s early years, but their split never really clicked. The two were not able to secure a solo spot on the roster.

Bowens remained visible thanks to his new role within The Opps faction, while Max Caster had completely disappeared and was active on the independent circuit.

The two have yet to comment on the topic at the time of writing. Only Max Caster stated that he was starting his own research into the term ”free agent” :
