Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy Forcibly Removed From the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament

October 6, 2026

Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy were forcibly removed from the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.

Indeed, Dorian Van Dux was finally ready to make his injury comeback on NXT on October 6, 2026, but the duo was attacked backstage once again. Birthright again sought to assert themselves on NXT to prove that they form the dominant faction of NXT.

As a result, Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy were too badly hurt to participate in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic match. The NXT General Manager was forced to find last-minute replacements to face the duo of the Tokyo Bad Boyz, and he named Charlie Dempsey and Lexis King from Birthright under pressure from William Regal! In addition to injuring DVD and Legacy, Birthright earned their place in the tournament…

And it is King and Dempsey who defeated the Tokyo Bad Boyz, so they will face Wagner Jr and Galeno, who are the Mexican branch’s AAA tag team champions, in this quarterfinal Dusty Rhodes match. For reference, the winning team of the tournament will have its name inscribed on the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic trophy and will earn a championship match for the NXT tag team titles.

Dorian Van Dux Still Injured?

At the time of writing this article, it is impossible to confirm whether Dorian Van Dux is still injured. This could have prompted WWE officials to stage the backstage attack to justify the withdrawal of Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy from the tournament.

It is also possible that WWE simply wanted to add Birthright to the tournament to continue their storyline.

More information is expected to surface.
