There are still many concerns regarding the organization of WWE Crown Jewel 2026 in Saudi Arabia, in the city of Riyadh, following the bombardments that struck the airport.
An event that has pushed the alert level to maximum by the American embassy as mentioned on Catch-Newz. Saudi Arabia has also confirmed that the airport would be closed until October 17, 2026 due to the incident and for passenger safety.
Today, Turki Al-Sheikh, the head of events, announced the postponement of a first sporting event in the city. It is the tennis tournament Six Kings Slam, which was set to bring together the best tennis players in Riyadh from October 21 to 24. The tournament has ultimately been pushed back to December 27 to 30, 2026.
In the press release, Riyadh Season confirms the calendar change and justifies this decision with organizational reasons. The organizers explain that they conducted an assessment of the logistical and organizational difficulties surrounding the event, in order not to compromise its quality, hence the postponement.
This marks the first international event that has been moved from Riyadh Season’s calendar since the recent attacks. Nevertheless, the press release does not explicitly cite the attacks as the reason, though one can imagine that relocating tennis players under these conditions is challenging.
At the time of writing, Crown Jewel 2026 on November 7 in Riyadh remains on WWE’s calendar.
