Heading to the main event of this NXT Heatwave!
Very popular with the Texan crowd, Zilla Fatu makes his entrance for his first WWE match. Grayson Waller came out second, followed by Cruz Montana who enters through the crowd in third. The NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo arrived last: he will do everything to keep his belt.
Grayson Waller didn’t wait before attacking one of his rivals; the bell hadn’t even rung yet. It was Zilla Fatu who would make an impression at the start of the match. With an incredible dive outside the ring, Cruz would regain the advantage. A display of strength between Tony and Zilla impressed the fans. While Fatu had delivered his Samoan Spike to take down the champion, the Aussie Icon interrupted the pin. Grayson Waller even landed a spectacular elbow drop to get rid of Zilla Fatu. But in the end, Grayson Waller was craftier, playing the ultimate opportunist by tossing the Puerto Rican wrestler out of the ring, and securing the final pin on Tony D’Angelo.
The Australian becomes the NXT Champion for the first time, the title that had been missing from his résumé!
