Indeed, the Catalina has been everywhere in the past few days.
After ending the historic 1128-day reign of Lady Flammer at TripleMania a week and a half ago, the Chilean wrestler appeared on RAW in a qualifying match for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match last Monday. She failed to qualify: Roxanne Perez won it. Then, the following day on NXT, she defeated the two champions Kelani Jordan and Zaria alongside Thea Hail.
Released by WWE in 2021, Catalina seems to have taken her revenge here, in the American company. In an interview with Denise Salcedo, the 26-year-old champion spoke about her redemption.
She states :
“I am not the only woman/man who has worked for WWE, who was fired and forgotten. But everyone thinks that WWE is the only wrestling company. I have worked in Mexico, in Chile, in Costa Rica. I have been lucky because when I arrived here, in Mexico, the fans loved me. That is what motivated “La Catalina”.
At Worlds Collide this Saturday, September 26, Catalina will defend her Reina des Reinas belt against Roxanne Perez.
