Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed: It’s a Dream to Join AEW

August 31, 2026

Kofi (Kofi Kingston) and Austin Creed (Xavier Woods) made their debut at AEW All In 2026, aiming to become the new Trios champions.

After the show, Kofi and Austin Creed participated in a media conference following the PPV, providing an update on their arrival in AEW. They said that joining AEW felt like transferring to a new high school, with worries about making friends, but ultimately everything is turning out to be like a dream.

Kofi’s Statement :

“It’s like a dream. This dream that I’ve seen in another world, and now we can shake hands. We’re seeing people from our old life again, like Renee Paquette or Swerve Strickland. The last time we were together was in 2021, and today, who would have thought it would be possible.”

A dream realized, and they also clarified why they decided to join AEW. They stated that they had to leave their relationship with WWE to evolve. They had always regarded AEW as the premier tag team division, and since they are the best duo, joining was a necessity.

Everything boiled down to joining a place that places tag team wrestling at the forefront for this new chapter of the New Level!

Why the Name New Level?

&13;

Kofi and Creed also explained why they chose this new name for the New Level.

&13;

For them, it’s about stepping up to a new level by joining AEW, but they also see themselves bringing a new level to the sport of wrestling. So they are the New Level, i.e., the new level in English.

They will already defend the AEW Trios titles against the Rascalz this Wednesday on Dynamite. The New Level’s new chapter is beginning.
