Latest Updates on El Hijo del Vikingo’s WWE Return

September 18, 2026

El Hijo Del Vikingo has provided an update on his knee rehabilitation and expects to be able to return to WWE within seven months.

The AAA wrestler shared a video of his rehab, stating that he has seven months left before he will have a brand-new knee. This confirms that we won’t see him back until May 2027.

As a reminder, Vikingo suffered a knee injury during SmackDown on July 3, 2026. Early estimates placed his recovery at seven to twelve months.

An anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear like the one he sustained typically results in a lengthy absence, since the knee is a major joint in wrestling and must heal completely.

The upcoming updates in 2027 will be watched closely for his return. A comeback in which he will surely reclaim the AAA Latin American Championship that he was forced to relinquish.
