Time marches on, and we still ask ourselves the same question: the Undertaker’s undefeated streak should have ended?
Many are convinced otherwise: it was part of the Dead Man’s legend. Yet, after 21 consecutive WrestleMania wins, The Undertaker was pinned by Brock Lesnar in 2014. On the Marking Out show, the former United States Champion is convinced that the Beast’s victory was nevertheless a good choice, in hindsight.
He states :
“I was among those who believed that this streak deserved to never be interrupted. That was how I felt, but if anyone had to do it, if anyone had to achieve it, it had to be Brock. It had to be him. I think this is one of those moments where the fans… I think the fans approved of this decision, that they will see it and say: ‘Okay, I’m fine with it. They made the right decision.’”
