PCO was rushed to the emergency room after a MLP Mayhem show.
Indeed, the Quebec wrestler stated in an interview with Le Journal de Québec that he sustained a neck fracture during a match while filming the upcoming MLP episodes. The injury forced the match to end.
He explains that he performed a suicide dive outside the ring and the landing was poorly controlled by his opponent, causing his head to strike the concrete. The impact caused the fracture and he was immediately unable to move his neck. He underwent surgery a few days later.
A Year of Absence
Such a surgery also means a pause in his career as a professional wrestler. Doctors are currently talking about at least a year of rehabilitation before he can return to the ring for a show. PCO is now 58 years old and had just made his debut with the MLP and launched a storyline for the upcoming PPV; everything is on hold.
Nevertheless, PCO does not want to give up:
“Many people will say that it’s a sign that at my age I should stop. On the contrary, it’s a sign that I must keep going.”
Further information on PCO’s return will be watched. As you know, a neck injury comes with an indeterminate convalescence since healing is unpredictable.
