Damian Priest won’t eliminate R-Truth that easily…
Friday night on SmackDown, the two former tag team champions faced off in Sacramento. The 54-year-old veteran unleashed a string of bold moves to wear down his opponent for the evening, but a high-flying leap from the third rope proved to be too much: upon landing, Truth was injured. The referee was forced to stop the match, Axiom and Nathan Frazer came to the rescue to protect the elder.
But then what? Was it a storyline angle? Or a real injury. Obviously, it was indeed an unforeseen event. Today, R-Truth has spoken out, reassuring his fans: he is okay.
He states :
“ I’m fine. Thanks to everyone for your support, your concern, and your wishes for a speedy recovery. It’s truly amazing to feel loved and to be loved. I am grateful to all of you. On October 16, I nearly died… Damian Priest tried to kill me… I didn’t think he was that serious… But I’ll be back.”
