Roman Reigns confirmed in an interview with Men’s Health that he still suffers from leukemia and that he must be careful about what he injects into his body.
The magazine questioned him about peptides, and Reigns stated that he stays away from these protein chains due to his leukemia.
Reigns says that even today he must tread carefully, and for this reason he does not use peptides:
“With my medical history, I have to be very careful. I am still engaged in a hard-fought battle against CML (chronic myeloid leukemia). I have to be extremely prudent when it comes to these things. Anything invasive or of that kind, I cannot afford. I have heard all sorts of interesting things on this topic, but I have not been able to get involved or try them. Maybe one day it will be a question to ask my doctor, but so far, I have managed to outrun everything else through hard work. If I can keep going like this, I will stay on this path.”
Regarding his fight against leukemia, Reigns confirms that everything is under control despite a minuscule trace:
“It’s under control, and we are below the reference threshold, but to be in molecular remission, it needs to be almost zero, and there are still these minuscule traces, like 0.0031, but it counts. I still have to be very careful and very prudent. For me, and this is the view of someone who doesn’t know much about it, peptides are overrated.”
It was in October 2018 that Roman Reigns was forced to relinquish his WWE championship due to his battle with leukemia. In February 2019, he announced that he was in remission and subsequently returned to the screens.
A stable situation for Roman Reigns since then, a time during which his health had been severely tested.
What are peptides?
For those wondering, they represent a new trend used to aid muscle building and recovery.
A new product to inject into the body that is making waves among athletes and bodybuilding enthusiasts like Roman Reigns. They are molecules composed of 2 to 100 amino acids that act as natural messengers in the body to regulate numerous functions.
They are also used in cosmetics or in medicine.
