You have to go back to July 2026 to witness Shawn Spears’ last match.
He squared off against Niko Vance in a singles bout designed to put an end to the rivalry with his former partners. Yet Spears has been entirely missing from view since that contest.
PWInsider has weighed in on the matter, confirming that Shawn Spears remains active within WWE. Despite his absence from television, he continues in his backstage coaching role with WWE NXT at the Performance Center.
That information supports the notion that Spears is not injured and remains with the company. It should be remembered that even when he appeared on screen as an in-ring performer, he also held this coaching position for the next generation.
The question now is whether Spears will eventually return to the on-screen product in a new storyline or not.
